Take A Step Closer Towards Healing Through Intensive Outpatient Therapy in Spokane, wa
Healing from a traumatic experience requires tremendous strength and motivation, but it’s not something you have to do on your own.
Laura Bruco, MSW, offers an effective intensive outpatient program in Spokane as a way for you to take the next step toward recovery. With the help of a qualified therapist, you can benefit from having the tools and strategies to manage your mental health better, improve relationships, and develop greater insight into who you are.
How Intensive Trauma Therapy Can Help
Complex trauma is generally diagnosed when a person has experienced multiple traumatic events. Examples of these traumatic events include:
- Sexual abuse or incest
- Medical abuse
- Enmeshment or engulfment trauma
- Genocide campaigns
- Chronic neglect or abandonment
- Human trafficking
- Residing in a war zone
- Ongoing physical or emotional abuse
The symptoms of complex trauma may include depression, anxiety, and even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Individuals who exhibit signs of complex trauma may have difficulty managing anger, forming relationships, and focusing on work or school.
Intensive outpatient group therapy provides an alternative to inpatient treatment for those who need more intensive therapeutic support than traditional individual therapy but do not require 24-hour care.
This intensive therapy provides education and intervention strategies to help individuals effectively and meaningfully address their difficulties.
Our 12-week intensive outpatient program helps individuals identify their strengths and develop strategies to manage their symptoms. You’ll be working with a licensed psychotherapist with attachment and traumatic stress treatment expertise.
Our program is divided into three categories or steps each patient goes through:
- Discovery Group: Every week for 90 minutes, you’ll have the chance to explore your trauma and its effects on your life in depth. You’ll learn about the nature of self-compassion and how to nurture healthy relationships.
- Experience Group: This weekly 90-minute session provides an opportunity to practice mindfulness, discover new relationship patterns, and engage in productive interactions.
- Individual Psychotherapy: With this weekly 60-minute session, you can better yourself while processing the knowledge gathered in a non-threatening and enabling environment.
