Intensive
Outpatient Therapy in Seattle
Trauma can be incredibly isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. Our intensive outpatient therapy program is founded on the belief that all people have the capacity to heal, grow, and change. We provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can freely explore their thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting.

Why You Need Intensive Trauma Therapy
If you’re struggling with the impact of trauma, it can be difficult to manage day-to-day life. You may feel like you are constantly on edge and struggling to keep your emotions in check. Trusting other people or forming close relationships can also be extremely daunting.
Intensive trauma therapy provides you with the support you need to address the effects of trauma and regain control over your life.
Laura Bruco, MSW, specializes in providing intensive therapeutic sessions for Seattle individuals who have experienced different levels of trauma. Her brief dynamic approach focuses on the here and now rather than marinating in past and painful experiences.
By the end of the 12-week intensive program, clients develop new skills, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and generate better possibilities for growth.
What We Treat
While designed for folks with complex trauma, this program is appropriate for anyone looking to improve their lives. This includes adults previously diagnosed with:
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Personality Disorders
- Emotion Regulation Disorders
- Dissociative Disorders
- Substance Use Disorders
- Psychotic Disorders
Our Process
If you are interested in receiving intensive outpatient therapy from our Seattle practice, the first step is to call and speak with our therapist. We provide a free 20-minute consultation where we ask a few questions about your needs and assess if you’re an excellent fit for the program.
All sessions are done in the evenings via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to accommodate participants with other commitments such as family and work. The program runs for 12 weeks and includes the following elements:
- Weekly Discovery Group: A 90-minute weekly intensive group therapy in which you create an owner’s manual for yourself, engage in self-discovery, and learn to use skills you didn’t know you already have.
- Weekly Experience Group: A 90-minute weekly group therapy in which you’ll put what you’ve learned in the Discovery Group into practice, learn more about your attachment style, and experience new patterns in relationships.
- Weekly Individual Psychotherapy: A 60-minute weekly individual psychotherapy session in which you’ll have a space to talk about what has come up for you that week and get support in your goals for the program.
After completing therapy, our compassionate Seattle trauma therapist stays in touch to check in on your progress. You are welcome to re-enroll in the program for continued guided support and development.
