Intensive Outpatient Program for Trauma in Bellingham, WA
Traumatic events leave a lasting impact in a person’s brain. As it is, trauma is difficult to process, but especially so if you’ve never experienced it before. You may not fully understand what you’re going through and try to bottle your feelings up.
If you’ve experienced something traumatic, we have a therapist who can help you process and deal with its effects with our intensive outpatient program in Bellingham.
How an intensive trauma therapist can help
One of the main reasons trauma has a significant impact on a person’s mental health and overall wellbeing is because the cause of the trauma remains unaddressed. The brain also protects you from the trauma through emotional numbing, leading to repressed feelings.
With the help of an intensive trauma therapist, you will learn how to better understand and express your thoughts and a broad range of your emotions. We will also help you develop healthy coping mechanisms to deal with the effects of trauma, such as triggers and intrusive thoughts.
Let’s address different forms of trauma
We help you deal with complex trauma through our 12-week intensive therapy program. Adults and children alike may be diagnosed with complex trauma if they have experienced events such as:

- Human trafficking
- Residing in a war zone
